Not understanding function of “Show all teams“ button in teams check-in section
I am not seeing different behavior with it checked or unchecked.

It works for me; the effect is that if the box is unchecked the dropdown only shows teams that haven't been marked as present, as opposed to all teams. If there are no teams marked as present then those two sets are identical – maybe that's why it didn't do anything for you?
