Changelog

v0.1.0-beta10

Documentation

  • Adds an Open Source Acknowledgements page to the documentation site; the same notices ship with the app as THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.txt.
  • The documentation site now publishes the End User License Agreement, Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, and Acceptable Use Policy.
  • The launcher now links to the EULA, Terms, Privacy Policy, and Open Source Acknowledgements.

Feedback

  • The main control window now has a feedback launcher; feedback is attributed to your account when you are signed in to the desktop app.
  • Signing in on the documentation site identifies you to its feedback launcher, and signing out returns it to anonymous.
  • The Privacy Policy, Terms, and Acceptable Use Policy now cover the feedback portal, where posts, votes, and comments are public under your display name.

Installation

  • The Windows installer and the macOS disk image now require accepting the End User License Agreement.
  • The agreement ships with every installation as an EULA.txt file next to the application.
  • The Windows installer now uses the Competition Control icon and artwork.
  • The Windows installer now closes a running event server before upgrading or uninstalling.

Server Discovery

  • The host computer now advertises itself on the local network so other computers can discover it.

Backups

  • The event database is backed up automatically every minute while the server is running.
  • Backups are saved to Documents, under Competition Control/Backups, in a folder named for the event.

Matches

  • Head Referees and Admin devices can now change a match's field from the scoring dialog in the field control tab.
  • Red Card and No Show matches can now be dropped, per Q&A 11.
  • The match list's score column now shows "Playing", "Pending", or the score with a green check mark.
  • Scoring from the match list is now a clipboard button, and a row opens for scoring with a double click, Enter, or a single tap on a phone.

Scoring

  • Match scores now follow one rule everywhere: head-to-head matches show both alliances' scores with the winner marked, and cooperative matches show one combined score.
  • Engage teamwork results no longer show a blank score, and the match ticker no longer prints a cooperative score twice.
  • Multiple devices can now live-score the same match without overwriting each other, and the total no longer jumps backwards or freezes.
  • Rapid taps are batched into fewer server round trips.
  • A committed score now refuses further changes until it is uncommitted.

Displays

  • The match intro overlay stacks the match number and field name under the "Up Next" label.
  • The field display and overlay scorebug now show the period being played, Autonomous or Driver Control, in place of the field name.
  • Cooperative teamwork matches show one combined panel with both teams and the shared score.
  • Between match periods every timer now holds at 0:00 instead of showing the next period's starting time.
  • Short rankings lists no longer loop the same few teams past the audience.
  • The rankings breaks, logos screen, and match schedule now include the built-in REC Foundation artwork alongside an event's own logos.
  • The match list beside the alliance rankings no longer cuts a match in half on smaller screens, and drops the oldest and furthest-out matches when the panel is too short.
  • The rankings screens now list only checked-in teams; at a league, a team checked in at any session stays on the screen.

Devices

  • The new-device QR code and kiosk URLs now use an address other devices can reach, rather than a VPN, Hyper-V, WSL, or Docker adapter.
  • Server addresses on the Devices screen are listed most likely first, with real wired and Wi-Fi adapters ahead of virtual ones.
  • Each server address on the Devices screen now shows its network connection, with an icon for wired, Wi-Fi, or virtual.

Judging

  • A new Judging group in the sidebar pairs the Finalize page with a live Excellence eligibility screen, where judges can highlight teams and track notebook status across every judging device.
  • The eligibility screen sits behind new view and edit permissions; the new Judge role is read-only, while Judge Advisors and admins can edit.

Inspection

  • Adds the Aerial Drone Competition inspection checklist for Fast Track events.

Rankings

  • Fixes the qualification rankings printout and audience display showing rank, autonomous, and endgame points shifted by one column.

Aerial Drone Competition Pro Support

  • This release includes support for running Aerial Drone Competition Pro events for the 2026-2027 season Off Grid.
