Display Screens

This page is the catalog of every screen a display group can show: rankings tables, field timers, the elimination bracket, and so on. You pick a screen for each group under Now showing on the Displays page, and every device following that group shows it. Screens are listed in the Choose a Screen dialog under Event Screens and then under each field's name. Audience and remote groups can show any screen; field groups only offer their own field's screens plus Logos and Blank. For creating groups and putting them on TVs, see Displays.

Every screen shares a few traits. Each one updates live: as soon as a score is saved, a team is checked in, or a match is queued, the change appears within a moment with no reload. A header shows the event name, the screen title, and a small sponsor logo in the corner, with multiple small logos rotating every 10 seconds. Long tables scroll on their own and show a large sponsor logo between passes. RECF artwork is built in to both logo sizes and always comes first in the rotation, so an event with no logos of its own still shows something in every logo slot. See Sponsors. If a screen shows Unknown display followed by a code, the group was set to a screen for a field or slide that no longer exists, so pick another screen under Now showing.

Event Screens

Inspection

Shows check-in and inspection progress for every team. Tiles at the top count teams that are Not Started, Partial, and Passed, and team numbers are grouped under the same headings below. Teams that have not checked in appear faded. Use it at check-in and in the pits during the morning. New remote groups start on this screen. See Team Check In and Inspection.

Match Schedule

Lists every unscored alliance match in playing order with columns Match, Time, Field, Red, and Blue. A large sponsor logo appears after every 10 matches. Solo matches do not appear. Once all matches are scored, the screen says No upcoming matches. Put it in the pits so teams can see when they play next.

Match Results

Shows the most recently saved alliance match. Each alliance gets a colored bar with its teams, names, organizations, and score. The winner is outlined and a tie is marked Tie. Badges mark DQ, No Show, and bonuses such as ERP or ARP where the game has them. A breakdown below shows how the score was built. Whenever a scorekeeper saves an alliance match, this screen switches to it automatically, and Send to results displays in the scoring dialog puts a specific match on every audience group. If the screen says No match results yet after a match, the score was entered but not saved.

Alliance Rankings

The qualification rankings table. Only teams that have checked in are listed, and in a league a team checked in at any earlier session stays on the screen. A list too short to fill the screen gets a full screen sponsor break between passes, so a handful of rows reads as a standings screen rather than the same result repeating. Before any match is scored, the screen says No rankings yet. The columns follow the ranking type chosen on the Matches setup step:

Ranking type

Columns

Rank points (Achieve, Inspire)

Rank, Team, W-L-T, RP, AP, EP

Average score (Aerial Drone Competition, Engage)

Rank, Team, Average Score, Matches Scored, Dropped

Aerial Drone Competition Pro

Rank, Team, W-L-T, RP, AVG

When the screen is wide enough, a match ticker beside the table lists Previous matches with their scores, the Current Match (following the live field timer, with a pulsing marker while it runs), and the matches Up Next. The ticker only shows whole rows. When space is short it trims the oldest and furthest out matches first, keeping the matches around the one on the field, and drops the ticker entirely once the table can no longer keep its minimum width. See Rankings.

Solo Rankings

Rankings for solo matches. Columns are Rank, Team, Score, and the highest score for each solo match type (the names depend on your program). Next to each highest score, the screen shows attempts used out of the maximum, such as "(2/3)", or just the attempts used, such as "(2)", in programs with a shared pool of 5 solo attempts, and the time of the most recent run. As with alliance rankings, only teams that have checked in at some point during the event are listed, and a team also needs at least one attempt to appear. A short list gets a full screen sponsor break between passes.

On a large screen, a Recent Matches panel lists the last 10 solo matches with their scores, and a Match Progress bar shows how many of the current session's possible attempts have been scored. Until a match is recorded, the table area shows the large sponsor logos stacked together.

Queueing

One column per alliance field showing the next two unscored matches on that field. Each match card shows the match name, its scheduled time, and a countdown that turns amber once the match is late. Team chips fill in solid with a check mark when a queuer marks that team Present. Put this screen at the queue area so teams can see when to line up. See Queueing.

Alliance Selection

A live view of alliance selection. The left panel lists the alliances by seed with their captain and picks. The right panel lists Available Teams by rank. A banner announces which alliance is selecting and which team it invites, and teams that declined are marked Declined. Show this on the audience screen while running selection. See Alliance Selection.

Elimination Bracket

Shows elimination results in the form your event uses: a standard bracket with each round, series scores, and the Champion once decided; an Eliminations table for the aerial drone format with a note such as Top 4 advance; or a Finals Rankings table for a single round of exhibition finals. Undecided spots read TBD. See Eliminations.

Logos

Cycles through your large sponsor logos, fading to the next every 10 seconds on a solid background with no header. Use it during breaks and lunch rather than leaving a stale rankings table on screen. See Sponsors.

Slides

A holding screen for the award ceremony. It shows a branded background until someone clicks Take on the Slides page or Show on screen on the Award Scripts page, and then shows that slide. Audience groups receive slides whether or not they are on this screen; a remote group must be set to Slides to receive them. See Award Ceremony.

Blank

A solid branded background with the event name. It only appears in the picker when Overlay is enabled for the group, where it clears the screen down to the chroma key color.

Field Screens

Each field has four screens listed under its name in the picker: Timer, Match Intro, Intro/Timer, and Score Review. They follow that field's timer, so they only show something while a match is queued or running on it. If a field screen shows only the header, no match is queued on that field.

Timer

A high-contrast board with the field name, the match name, a large countdown, and a panel for each alliance (or a single panel for a solo match) listing its teams. Once the match starts, live scores appear in the panels as the scorekeeper enters them. The screen flashes at period changes and plays the match sounds when sound is on. If the scorekeeper has clicked Hide score, the panels show teams only.

Match Intro

Introduces the match queued on the field. It shows Up Next with the match name, then each alliance's teams with their current rank, team name, and city and region. A countdown shows Starts in until the scheduled start, or Late by once that time has passed. If nothing is queued, the screen shows only the header.

Intro/Timer

Switches between the two screens above on its own: Match Intro while a match is queued, Timer once it starts, and the next match's Match Intro after the finished match is scored. Choose this for a field monitor you do not want to touch during the day. Competition Control also switches groups to this screen on its own: a field's group when a match is queued there, and every audience group when an alliance match starts. See Displays.

Score Review

Shows the working score for the match on the field before the scorekeeper saves it, with the same layout as Match Results and a detailed breakdown. If the scorekeeper clicks Hide score, the scores are blurred until Reveal score is clicked. Show to teams in the scoring dialog puts this screen on the field's groups so teams and referees can confirm the count before it is saved, and Done showing returns them to Intro/Timer. See Field Control and Scoring.

Overlay Versions

When Overlay is enabled for a group, some screens change to compact graphics over the chroma key color so a streaming program can put a camera feed behind them:

Screen

Overlay form

Timer and Intro/Timer

Slim alliance bars with teams and scores along the bottom corners and the match name in the top-left block.

Match Intro

An Up Next capsule at the top and team bars along the bottom edge. Nothing is drawn when no match is queued.

Alliance Selection

Compact alliance and available-team panels.

Slides

Slide content over the feed, unless the slide has Always show solid (never as an overlay) turned on.

Blank

The chroma key color only.

Every other screen looks the same with overlays on or off. The background color comes from Chroma Key Color in Settings; the default is a bright magenta, and Transparent removes the background for streaming programs that accept transparent browser sources.
