Sponsors
The Sponsors step manages the sponsor logos shown on your audience displays. The step has two sections. Small Logos are shown in the top corner of displays throughout the day, rotating every ten seconds when there is more than one. Large Logos are shown on the Logos screen, between passes of scrolling screens such as rankings, and every ten matches on the match schedule screen.
RECF artwork is built in to both sections. The built-in logos are always shown first, cannot be removed or reordered, and do not appear in the lists on this step, so an event with no logos of its own still shows RECF artwork in every logo slot. This step is for your event's own sponsors. Open it from Event Setup. Only the Admin role can open Event Setup. See Roles and Permissions.

Logos are shown on a dark background. PNG, JPEG, SVG, WebP, and GIF files are accepted, and each file must be 20 MB or smaller. Use a compact, horizontal version of a logo with a transparent background for the small slot, and a higher resolution file for the large slot. A tall logo in the small slot is hard to read in the corner of a screen, and a white rectangle behind a logo stands out against the dark background.
Uploading a Logo into This Event
- In the Small Logos or Large Logos section, click Add logo.
- Choose the image file and click Open.
- Wait for the tile to appear. The logo's label is the file name without its extension.
Uploaded logos are stored in the event file, so they travel with a backup of the event and belong to this event only. If the upload is refused, a notice titled Failed to upload logo explains why: Image must be 20 MB or smaller. means the file needs to be resized or compressed, and Image must be a PNG, JPEG, SVG, WebP, or GIF. means the file needs to be converted to one of those formats.
Importing Logos from the Host Computer's Folder
Logos placed in a folder on the host computer are picked up by every event you open on that computer, which suits season-long sponsors. The Automatic import notice at the top of the step shows the folder path. It appears only on the host computer, because the folder is on that machine.
- On the host computer, open the folder shown in the Automatic import notice. It is a folder named Logos inside a Competition Control folder in your Documents folder.
- Open the small or large subfolder. Both are created for you the first time an event is opened.
- Copy small logo files into small and large logo files into large.
- Open or create an event. The images are imported when the event is opened, labelled by file name, and marked Imported from folder on this step.
Files larger than 20 MB or in an unsupported format are skipped. If a logo you placed in the folder does not appear, check that it is inside the small or large subfolder rather than the Logos folder itself, then close and reopen the event so the folder is read again.
Arranging and Removing Logos
Logos are shown in the order of their tiles, left to right, after the built-in RECF logos. When a section has more than one logo, each tile has a left arrow to show it earlier and a right arrow to show it later. The arrows are disabled at the start and end of the row, and the order saves immediately.
To remove a logo, click the trash button on its tile. Removal is immediate with no confirmation. Removing an uploaded logo deletes it from the event. Removing an imported logo hides it from this event only: the file stays in the folder and is still imported into other events. Delete the file from the folder to stop it appearing in future events.
Changes on this step reach connected displays immediately. See Displays and Display screens.
Remarks
Name files the way you want the label to read. The label is shown only on this step, but a clear name makes the tiles easier to manage. Put season sponsors in the host computer's folder once and let every event pick them up, and add one-off event sponsors with Add logo.
